The airlines are offering some incredibly low fares now too, so I don't think your "frivolity" was so great... you can fly to LA from Phoenix and back for less than the price of a day at Universal Studios. ----------- AUSTRALIA - Who Is Really to Blame?
I'm a bit concerned about the nature of Bush's speech where he states its going to be a long drawn out affair and if we are not with him, we are terrorists. Consider your governments past actions in regards to a tragedy:
So with this track record one can be cynical about who really is to blame for the tragedy on the 11th. My money is on those who want to impose the NWO (New World Order). Any takers? Regards, Nikolas, Melbourne, Australia ----------- CANADA - Jeb Bush's Sep. 7 Executive Order

veteran:
Frankly, the scene sounds like `1984' first we love this bin Laden give him $$$ to fight for Islam against USSR, Iraq, Yugoslavia (hey that was last year!) and now we loathe him. The same could be said of Saddam Hussein and any of the other Arabs. (On Sadam we've now gone back and forth he's now a responsible Arab). The lack of understanding is that in these Arab states the government is secondary to the religion and the religion urges violence against the West. And due to that fact none of these little countries needs very much by way of infrastructure... Islam will survive physical destruction of the national state. A state of mind will survive where a material state will not. I am one of the very few Americans of non-Orthodox heritage who has studied the Byzantine (Christain) Empire. I can tell you that the US is making the same mistakes in the same sequence that led to the fall of Constantinople and the internecine religious wars in Western Europe that followed. Security Stats, Useless Procedures PHOENIX, Oct. 3 - We received the following reaction to our latest TiM Bulletins from Althea Dixon, a TiM reader from Arizona: Hi,
Bob. Thanks for your memo. Last
night on TV they belabored the point that Phoenix has the highest rate
of security breaches at 1.8 something or other.
They forgot to mention we've never had a plane hijacked.
I am assuming the security is much better in New York and
Washington? (TiM Ed.: Or also in Boston and Newark?). Apparently
the only ones helped by the security checkpoints confiscating stuff is
the hijackers. They now
have free reign with no resistance possible unless we take martial arts,
and that's a big ticket price. May
be worth it someday. If
everyone on the hijacked planes had had plastic knives and knew how to
use them, the kidnapping may not have been so easy for whoever did it.

TiM Readers Forum - Update PHOENIX, Oct. 5 - Here some additional comments we’ve received from TiM readers on the Sep. 11 topic, starting with this release from Sean Salai of the Wabash Commentary, a conservative student journal in Indiana: INDIANA - Academics Blame “American Oppression” for Killing 6,000 CRAWFORDSVILLE,
IND. (Oct. 5) —Since September 11, college administrators have banned
flagpole rallies and many academics are blaming America for murdering
its own citizens. "This is about the have-nots attacking the
haves," one now-notorious professor at the University of New Mexico
noted in justification of the recent attacks. "It's a result of
American oppression." At
Wabash College, a private liberal arts school for men in Indiana, some
have been even bolder. Melissa Butler of the Political Science
Department, a featured speaker at a town hall meeting held here on
October 2, told students that the United States is partly to blame for
the attacks because "we did not attend the U.N. conference on
racism and one on disarmament, and have apparently sided with Israel and
other non-Arab countries." Speech
Department Chairman David Timmerman seconded Butler’s remarks.
"We need to think about how we're using words and what effect they
have on other people around the world," he told the capacity crowd.
"We should think about how these events weren’t 'acts of war.' We
were not attacked by a nation, so how can we be at war?" Members
of The Wabash Commentary, an independent student newsmagazine, were
shocked by what they heard. "What other school of 850 men has
purported to 'fight terrorism' by consistently implying that America is
somehow at fault for the murder of its own citizens?" asked
editor-in-chief Sean Salai, a junior. "This is like saying that the
Jews were to blame for inciting the Holocaust." “It
isn’t just one person,” added Salai in regards to the Wabash staff.
“Our college president implied at a September 13 chapel session that
terrorist attacks occurred because society failed to follow Wabash's
mission statement. One of
my teachers, Stephen Morillo, has more seriously dismissed bin Laden as
a ‘CIA operative.’” Public
events on campus have continued to showcase professors who blame U.S.
policies for causing terrorism and simplistically defend Islam without
offering substantive analysis. Those who dissent often find themselves
under attack: one classics professor, when he opined that it is the sole
responsibility of "the religion involved to purify itself of
sectarian hatred that leads to murder," was derided by History
Department Chairman Morillo. "In
Christianity, too, sectarian hatred lives, fundamentalist extremism
lives, and people die as a result," Morillo wrote, chiding his
colleague in a faculty-wide e-mail on September 20. "Ask the
victims of abortion clinic bombings or of Oklahoma City." According
to religion professor and Wabash alumnus Stephen Webb, such nasty
reactions have exemplified a prevalence of "armchair generals at
Wabash, those faculty who were sure that Bush would start bombing
Afghanistan immediately, that we would overreact, and thus felt like
they had to stand up for peace and good sense.” "To
blame America for the inhumane mass murder of 6,000 innocents—-whether
the source for such thinking is Jerry Falwell or a Wabash
professor—-denies basic concepts of human morality," added Salai.
"The attack on America has pressured many postmodernist academics
to take firmer stands on issues of right and wrong, and, despite the
poor response at Wabash so far, I am confident that reasoned voices can
still prevail. To that effect, the Commentary will continue to chronicle
every anti-American statement made on this campus." The Wabash Commentary (www.wabashcommentary.com) the conservative journal of news and opinion at Wabash, Indiana. ------------- OHIO - Megalomanic Bush Declared War on Entire Planet!? To
the editor: Ever
since the attack on September11, I have been contemplating a letter to
the editor. The problem is saying something comprehensible without
thousands of words of historical background information. That history
remains vital, but the President s speech on Sept. 20 provided an
unprecedented opportunity for public awareness. To
my knowledge, at no time in recorded history has anyone with any
credibility declared war on the entire planet. No one, not Hitler or
Stalin or anyone else, has been so overcome by megalomania as to tell
the world "Obey me or die" as George W. Bush has done. He has
found his place in history, by his utterances if not by his deeds. That
the American people give any credence to such insane ranting is almost
beyond comprehension. A
"Department for the Annihilation of Freedom" has been created,
in order to protect freedom. Officially known as the "Department
for Homeland Security",
it is in
actuality a new and enhanced "state secret police", also known
as "Gestapo". Homeland security is the duty of the militia.
The military has only one legitimate function, the protection of our
borders. They have not been allowed to do that job. Instead of minding
our business here at home, they have been sent to torment others around
the world. It
has been declared to be a war to wipe out terrorism. What are its
chances of success, and when will it end? The answers are, in order,
"zero" and "never". A "terrorist" is
defined as anyone who disagrees with "the king of the world",
and it only takes one other living human on the planet to keep the
endless war going. Terrorism
has been with us forever, as a glimpse at history will reveal.
State-sponsored terrorism is the worst sort: it spreads the guilt among
the innocent inhabitants of the country. The United States has been
engaged in this activity for decades, both around the world and here at
home. Murder and oppression is a poor way to win friends. A drastic
change of policy is needed if we are to be safe and free. A
great tragedy has befallen us. Let us strive with all our might to not
make it worse by attacking the innocent. Never go to war when you are
angry, never persecute, or prosecute, without all the facts, without
taking the time and making the effort to find the best course of action.
Never give up freedom for security, you will have neither. Luke
Albert Herda, Ohio (This
letter was also published in the Zanesville Times Recorder on Oct. 2) ------------- SPAIN - U.S. Should Spread Real Democracy, Welfare and Justice Dear
Bob, and "Truth in Media" team, I want
to thank you for the excellent work you are doing. Congratulations! I
think that nowadays, after the horrible facts of September 11 in NY, is
necessary, more than ever, to keep people informed, and to fight against
propaganda of war, and hysteria, and racist behaviors. The U.S.
government reaction to beat the terrorists should be to spread democracy
(the real one), welfare, justice (impeding Sharon to continue with the
genocide of Palestinians, for example), and then to hunt and prosecute
the terrorist groups. Unfortunately
it looks that they are going in the wrong direction, namely; continuing
with the aggressive international politics of bombs and collateral
damage, supporting dictatorships, as in Pakistan, supporting Israeli
aggressions and crimes to unarmed people, and contributing to the growth
of fanaticism in the world. It is
a pity, because this way the situation only can get worse.
I will continue reading your news. With best wishes. Dr.

Bushwhacked: Bush Sr.’s bin Laden Connection WASHINGTON, Sep. 28 - “Something’s rotten in the state of Denmark,” goes the oft-quoted old Shakespearean line. Well, the state of Denmark no longer figures as a global trendsetter, but the same one-liner could be applied to some of the former leaders of our United States of America. If in doubt just check out the following release sent out by the Judicial Watch, a Washington-based public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse: WALL STREET JOURNAL: BUSH SR. IN BUSINESS WITH BIN LADEN
FAMILY CONGLOMERATE THROUGH CARLYLE GROUP (BIN
LADEN) FAMILY HAD RENOUNCED TIES TO TERRORIST SON, BUT FAMILY STILL
UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION FATHER
OF PRESIDENT SHOULD PULL OUT OF INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING FIRM (Washington,
DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and
prosecutes government corruption and abuse, reacted with disbelief to
The Wall Street Journal report of yesterday that George H.W. Bush, the
father of President Bush, works for the bin Laden family business in
Saudi Arabia through the Carlyle Group, an international consulting
firm. The senior Bush had met with the bin Laden family at least
twice. (Other top Republicans are also associated with the Carlyle
group, such as former Secretary of State James A. Baker.) TiM Ed.: The
Carlyle Group is also a Pentagon defense contractor.
In fact, here’s what the Journal said about it: “If the U.S. boosts defense spending in its quest to stop Osama bin Laden's alleged terrorist activities, there may be one unexpected beneficiary: Mr. Bin Laden's family. Among its far-flung business interests, the well-heeled Saudi Arabian clan -- which says it is estranged from Osama -- is an investor in a fund established by Carlyle Group, a well-connected Washington merchant bank specializing in buyouts of defense and aerospace companies. Through this
investment and its ties to Saudi royalty, the bin Laden family has
become acquainted with some of the biggest names in the Republican
Party. In recent years, former President Bush, ex-Secretary of State
James Baker and ex-Secretary of Defense Frank Carlucci have made the
pilgrimage to the bin Laden family's headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia. Mr. Bush makes speeches on behalf of Carlyle Group and is senior
adviser to its Asian Partners fund, while Mr. Baker is its senior
counselor. Mr. Carlucci is the group's chairman.” You can try to
check out the Carlyle web site at http://www.thecarlylegroup.com,
but get ready for a message “this site is being redesigned.” And
that’s it! Oh, except that you will also be told that, “The Carlyle
Group does not provide investment or other services to the general
public.” Weird, huh?.
Nor is former
President Bush the only former White House occupant to have rubbed
shoulders and done a little business with the bin Laden’s.
Jimmy Carter also did it, according to the Journal: “Former
President Carter met with 10 of Osama's brothers early in 2000 on a
fund-raising trip for the Carter Center in Atlanta. According to John
Hardman, executive director of the center, the brothers told Mr. Carter
that Osama was completely removed from the family. After Mr. Carter and
his wife followed up with breakfast with Bakr bin Laden in New York in
September 2000, the bin Laden family gave $200,000 to the center.
"We don't have any reason to think there's a connection"
between Osama and the rest of the family, Mr. Hardman says.” Meanwhile, back
to the Judicial Watch’s release: The
terrorist leader Osama bin Laden had supposedly been “disowned” by
his family, which runs a multi-billion dollar business in Saudi Arabia
and is a major investor in the senior Bush’s firm. Other reports have
questioned, though, whether members of his Saudi family have truly cut
off Osama bin Laden. Indeed, the Journal also reported yesterday that
the FBI has subpoenaed the bin Laden family business’s bank records. Judicial
Watch earlier this year had strongly criticized President Bush’s
father’s association with the Carlyle Group, pointing out in a March 5
statement that it was a “conflict of interest (which) could cause
problems for America’s foreign policy in Middle East and Asia.”
Judicial Watch called for the senior Bush to resign from the firm then. “This
conflict of interest has now turned into a scandal. The idea of the
President’s father, an ex-president himself, doing business with a
company under investigation by the FBI in the terror attacks of
September 11 is horrible. President Bush should not ask, but demand,
that his father pull out of the Carlyle Group,” stated Judicial Watch
Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. “This
has the potential of making ‘Billygate’ (Jimmy Carter’s
brother’s dealings with Libya) look like small potatoes,” added
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. --- TiM Ed.: So
that’s a fine mess we’ve got on our hands.
No wonder some of our readers have written to us saying they feel
“Bushwhacked.” For the full

Defense Spending Due to Ties to U.S. Bank," by Daniel Golden, James

TiM Readers Forum - Part II NEW YORK - Why Should God Bless America? NEW YORK, Oct. 9 - We received the following feedback from Peter Budzilovich, a TiM reader from New York: “Why
should God bless America if America threw God out of its schools, from
its public places, when we recognize homosexuality as an
"alternative lifestyle," when anti-American forces, using the
1st Amendment, are fighting God, tooth and nail, everywhere? Before
we start writing anthems about "God Bless America," we MUST
repair our ways, our ungodly attitude toward Him!” Peter
Budzilovich, New York ------------- MARYLAND - God to Wipe Out Mohammedanism? MARYLAND, Oct. 7 - We received the following feedback from Bela Szepesi, a TiM reader from Maryland: “Dear
Bob, There you go again on an analysis that uses dubious facts and even
more dubious logic. Venik, if I remember right, is the same source who
reported over 100 NATO planes down in Yugoslavia. Only, nobody could
find them. Not one. Terrorism
against the Serbs? Definitely. Effective? Yes. Made sense in the long
run? NO. The
Ukranian govt admits that they were using SAMs in the area, though they
say that those were out of range. Reminds me of the NATO missile that
hit Sofia. Accidents do happen. Not all screw ups are planned. As
for Sharon's remarks, I agree with him. He was reacting to Bush's pledge
to push for a "Palestinian State." The problem is that the
Muslims understand a "Palestinian State" to go to the sea and
obliterate present-day Israel. And the Jews face not merely the
Palestinians, but the entire Arab world, in fact the entire Islamic
world as an enemy. So do we. As American bombs are falling on
Afghanistan, more and more Muslims are declaring their hatred for the
United States. It
will be clear to you someday what I say today: God has had enough of the
depredations of the Mohammedan States, and the persecution of His people
by Muslims, and is going to act to wipe out Mohammedanism. Just wait and
see. I expect a civil war in Pakistan, and you read enough to know why.
Then I expect Libya to attack Rome. There
was a reason why God did not let the Apostles preach to the Arabs and
why the Gospel was not translated into Arabic for 600 years. VTY,” Bela
Szepesi, Maryland --------------- PENNSYLVANIA - Don’t Listen to Pastor Larry PENNSYLVANIA, Oct. 7 - We received the following feedback from Celeste (last name withheld but known to TiM), a TiM reader from Pennsylvania: “Dear
Bob, I have to tell you what I heard in a conversation with a co-worker
just day's after Sept. 11 (the week after
Sep. 17). Of
course, the topic of discussion at work was what happened in New York,
Virginia and Pennsylvania. A
co-worker of mine was discussing the recent events when I happened to
enter the room. I stopped
to listen briefly and had to inject my thoughts.
" They hate us because of our support for Israel, their
mortal enemy. They hate us
because we, like them, have killed innocent men, women and children in
their back yards!", I replied. Her
response to me was.... Oh no, Pastor Larry (a Methodist minister) talked
about that in church and he said, " We cannot turn our backs on
Israel, they are the chosen people.
If we turn our backs on them, God will turn his back on us."
I
looked at her in disbelief and shook my head.
"What God do you worship?
I cannot believe God would turn his back on me... and I don't
believe what you just said. Pastor
Larry should get his facts straight before making such a ridiculous
statement. Shame on
him." I left the room.
We have not discussed it since. I
couldn't help but recall the show I had seen on TV the Saturday
following the attack on Sept. 11. It
was Peter Jennings in New York talking with children about the recent
events. Just four days
later. Even the children
asked..."Why do they hate us?" "What did we do to them to cause this?"
Hmmm...
too bad no one gave them a straight answer.
Hope they don't listen to Pastor Larry!” Celeste,

Bob, America deserves better (media), the world deserves better! If we just keep the free flow of TRUTH we will make progress.
Our Lord told us to fight the good fight and this is surely what
you are doing. I respect your work and it is a comfort in these unstable
times to trust a journalist. Most

French, California --------------- CANADA - Anti-Globalist Revolution Has Started CANADA, Oct. 6 - We received the following feedback from Dan Janjic, a TiM reader from Canada: “Dear
Bob, again thank you for your TiM publications, it is so much needed in
these times of global madness. I have red your readers’ comments, and
would like to add a few. TiM’s
are multiplying like amebas and their networks are growing, and soon
they will become a threat to Western (mainly American) oppressive
regimes. TiM’s will then be probably banned as pro-terrorist
organizations with all the labels and "background histories"
set up by the CNN and the likes. What
the rich and power hungry do not realize is that the anti-globalist
revolution has started, that this is the beginning of the end of their
monstrous dreams and most importantly that nothing can stop it. Clinton’s,
Blair’s, Solana’s, Albright’s and other with similarly sick minds
are well aware of the crimes that they have committed. They regularly go
to their churches (Catholic, Protestant, Anglican, Synagogues) and
"pray" for us. I
just wonder; how are they going to face their Gods once they are called
up to report up there? Dan
Janjic, Toronto, Canada PS.
Bob, if you decide to put this on your list of reader's comments, leave
my name with it. As much as
we are peaceful citizens (though we fight for the truth and freedom -
the cornerstones of "democracy"), we may be still listed as
potential terrorists, because as that air head George (Bush) said:
"Who is not with us (US?) is against us." Have a nice day! ------------- TEXAS - Not Going to War for the NWO HOUSTON, Oct. 7 - We received the following feedback from John Kelinske, a TiM reader from Houston, Texas: “Bob,
I am NOT going to war, against Serbs, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews,
Russians, Chinese, etc., or ANYONE else for the NWO.
And they can ALL join arms and take a flying leap head-first onto
a pile of sharp rocks, and please tell them for me I said so.” John A. Kelinske, Jr., Houston, Texas ------------- JAPAN - Our Leaders Reflect Our Faults JAPAN, Oct. 12 - We received the following feedback from A.S., a TiM reader from Japan, who asked that the name not be used, but whose identity is known to TiM: “Those
who willingly believe what any government, politician, religious leader,
or media tells us, and who naively refuse to use their faculties of
reason, are equally to blame for the audacity and impunity with which
the controlling elite operate. The
low quality of our so-called leaders is a direct reflection of what the
public or common man is. To
change and challenge the outrageous world situation, we need to change
and challenge our own shortcomings.
Unless we control our own thoughts, we allow others to control
them.” A.S.,
Japan ------------- TEXAS - TiM: Escape from Sickening Drumbeat of Spin Doctors HOUSTON, Oct. 11 - We received the following feedback from L.R., a TiM reader from Texas, who asked that the name not be used, but whose identity is known to TiM: “Thank
you for providing an escape from the sickening drumbeat of the spin
doctors. It's really getting embarrassing watching these guys try to
look intelligent as they contradict themselves each hour and sound like
babbling fools. There is so little substance to what the media today has
to offer. Guess
I'll have to get batteries for my short wave radio to hear what's really
going on in the world. If I hear of one more "isolated
incident" I think I'll get sick. THANKS
AGAIN FOR YOUR GREAT WORK !!!” L.R.,
Texas -------------- GERMANY - Abyss of Mankind GERMANY, Oct. 11 - We received the following feedback from Ronald Eikenberg, a TiM reader from Germany, who used to serve in the German army: “Hello
Mr. Djurdjevic! So here we go again. Like two years ago, once again, the
NATO bullies have picked a sore underdog country to bully. Once again, the richest nations have ganged up on one of the
poorest countries on Earth. Mega million-dollar cruise missiles against
starving people and naked mountains. So
we have similar players. Just as NATO did in Kosovo, playing the air
force role, whereas the (Afghan) Northern Alliance takes over the part
of the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army). At
my college site in Germany, students are cheering the bombings of
starving children. On the
other hand, when an old woman gets robbed on the street, these
youngsters tend to look away. So bold are the NWO jacks. The
Taliban will fight to the last breath because they have got something
which we in the decadent West do not have, a big heart! I
see that the US authorities have only thin evidence on Osama bin Laden's
fault re. the 11th September. But never mind, because the Globalists
fabricate the rest. And if that is not enough, they start throwing bombs
at a poor nation that cannot even defend itself (for me that is like
beating up a cripple). Hmmmm...
that is what I call abyss. Please
tell me Mr. Djurdjevic! What
kind of a sh… planet is this? Where is honor, where is honesty, where
is sacrifice? I think this is the last stage of humanity. The Bible
predicted that short before the "End of time," the people
would become like they are today - cowards, selfish and hating God. I
want to cry when I think about it.
Sincerely yours,” Ronald

I have a white flag hanging on a pole from my side.

it.” John
